Letters to Self: Justice & Judgment

Letters to Self is a Self-help series written by M. J. Joachim, designed to encourage and promote healing and self-awareness for those who read it.

Dear Self,

The jury is still out. There may never be justice for those who have hurt you in this world. As hard as it is, you need to accept this fact. Your personal justice comes from looking in the mirror, and knowing you are true to yourself. You have nothing to be ashamed of, if when you lay your head on your pillow at night, you know in the depths of your heart, you have done nothing wrong.

You’ve hit the jackpot when you can avoid passing judgment on others, especially those who have hurt you. It’s easy enough to say, much harder to put into practice. None-the-less, you must do your best to master this each day. I know you can do it, and I know it will help you be a better you, filled with love, peace and forgiveness for yourself and others.
